NY half frozen

Hope everyone is doing honky dory. Oh boy was it cold in New York City, but we still managed to have a nice time. Even went to a cute french restaurant because Chloe had a huge craving for french onion soup. This was the day after she just had to have calamari. Also shared a frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity. Hadn't been there since I was ten.
Look where I went:

Had a Japanese book feast- well the best I could with my teen hanging around the store. Unfortunately I purchased a second copy of Belgium Families. It must be good since I bought it twice. Let me know if you want to buy a copy from me at a five dollar discount.
On our last day we quickly hopped over to Central Park and ended up at this sculpture I remember vividly climbing as a child.

It was way too cold to climb again.
All in all a good time, but I will be happy to never have to go to an H &M store again.

Full of dog barking nextdoor

Here's my finished page. Not the best lighting. I started my 16x20 painting. Talk about challenge. I am having some trouble with the face, especially the lip color. I guess it's good I started with the hardest part. Ah to be Misty Mawn for a day...or two.

Chloe and I are off to NYC next weekend- birthday weekend. Maybe we should visit the hospital I was born at. Chloe wants to find a Tory Birch knock up bag in Chinatown. Umm not my idea of a good time. Maybe we can get some dim sum at least.

I better get back to the Sunday tasks at hand. Have a great week. Thanks for visiting. XxooT

Full of 2013

Happy New Year blogging friends. I haven't finished this page, but here is what I have so far. Hope all of you have a safe and wonderful 2013. I am off to a pretty splashy start, even though school begins again tomorrow at 7:10 AM. I sure didn't miss bus duty.
Lots was acomplished during my time off including tossing stuff and organizing. I still have to tackle my magazine problem. No photos of that.

The cooking of maple fudge and cinnamon scones also took place. Did some journal pages and am setting myself up for a challenge, painting a fairly large canvas. Still thinking about the content.

Look what I just found over my front porch. A really crafty birds nest. A little bird was peeping out of the rafter as well. It had a very distinct beak. New neighbors.
Have a great rest of the week.
