Halfback

Sorry for the pause, but here I am in tip top shape.

Quite busy these days. Getting ready for artfest. Can not wait to see my pal Renee and other friends. I'm taking some cool classes. Two painting classes, one with Jesse Reno and another with Mindy L. They are wonderful artists. (I would link if I could figure out how on my phone.) The other class is enameling on metal with a torch.

Been trying to catch up on art but mostly it's taxes, finding a new place to live, and getting ready for the school art show.

This cool picture by third grader Peter won't be in the show since the theme is the low country.
I shall try to blog from artfest.
Ciao.

Foodful

Not too much art done this week, but there was some cooking going on...

These scones are double cinnamon with cinnamon chips and a cinnamon sugar filling. Pretty swell tasting.
Last night I also made some pasta in a pot that would not boil water for over a hour. Now Ellen thinks I can't even boil water. She brought her own meatballs over anyway. I think she fears my cooking or that I'll sneak in some tofu.
Poor Claire did not seem too happy with her portrait, but Sophie's was loved by the class.
Hope to get some art done this week to show you. Thanks for visiting.

Half of Sunday is over

I told these two cuties in third grade if they let me take their pictures I would draw them. Well this one (Claire) has been asking me for weeks if I did the drawing. It looked better before I colored it. Kind of looks like her except the teeth. Not sure if she will be pleased- especially since I am the art teacher.

Here is Sophie with her cute smile and poodle hair boots.

I almost finished this doll pillow for Syd. Shh don't tell her.

And last but not least, I had the honor of going to a performance with Riley on Friday night and than he took me out to dinner.
Hope you had a good week.
