Half of nothing

I got nothin'
I have been busy, I guess, because I haven't created much art in the last few weeks. Did start a drawing but it is not colored in. This is what I have been working on for the last two weeks:
The school art show was last Tuesday. I had a lot of pictures to mount on construction paper. The studest made some really nice art.

Helping Chloe out with her junior prom. I don't know, it seemed like we were getting ready for a wedding or something. Her date was very cute but they are only friends.
Today I went to the beach. It was a beautiful day with a breeze. Very relaxing. I also had a picture of my new shoes but blogger doesn't want to show you them tonight. I hope to be back next week with some art work. Thanks for checking in. Sorry also for the week delay. Things have been busy but they have calmed down some. Ciao.

I had a great time with my friend Lorraine this week. She came to visit from Texas. We spent one evening just working in our journals after having a copic marker buying frenzy.
Lorraine's main mission was to take photographs at Bonaventure (spelling?) cemetery in Savannah. It was very beautiful there and we both had a nice time walking around taking pictures.
Here we are on the way back from Savannah. We hit a snarly traffic jam due to gawkers of an overturned big rig but we still had fun on the road.
We didn't get as much art done as we hoped so there is not much to post. Tried to make a beaded wrap bracelet but Lorraine apparently took pity on my skills of precision and took it home to finish.
Hopefully next time I will have more art to show.  My class sure will. We are getting ready for an art show next Tuesday.

Half Jesse/half me

Renee bought this really thin/fine Pitt pen at Artfest and I am glad I copied her and bought one because I love it. I had so much fun drawing with it on this page.
As promised here is my Jesse Reno painting. This is the under painting when he gave us various prompts to fill our page.

And this is the final:

Hard to believe. I'm not sure I love it, but I do like how the paint dried on the paper. It's a really nice smooth texture.
So excited, it's spring break AND
my friend Lorraine is visiting. We are going to Savannah to take pictures and hanging out here in Charleston. We may even make some chi-chi wrap bracelets with beads. Hope you all have a great week too. Thanks for visiting.

Handful of paint

Farewell lovely rainy Washington state. Artfest was a lot of fun.

These are the enamel pieces I worked on in my class taught by Melissa Manley. I cant wait to try it at home. I need more practice, but the enamel colors are too beautiful to resist.

I made these two paintings in my class with Mindy Lacefield. She was a great teacher.

Next time I'll show you my Jesse Reno painting.
See you soon.
