Real full again

What could it be? I bought this gift for myself about a year and a half ago in Portland, but never wanted to open it because I  liked the way it looked wrapped. Finally last week I decided it was time to open it. I knew kind of what it was, but forgot what it actually looked like. What do you think it is? Post your ideas and check back next week for the unwrapping.

Food news: I made a new dish tonight that I thought was really good called Greek Goulash from Rachel Ray. Even Chloe almost finished it although she pretended it was gruelling. It had spinach, eggplant, feta cheese and lots of other things.  Tomorrow night is Chicken Tortilla Soup- Chloe's all time favorite. Last week for some odd reason I bought a pound of fudge(don't ask) and have been just having a few tastes a day. Really I could make it last 6 months if I didn't have any helpers and it wouldn't go bad. So anyway, I put it in a safe place, but then the other day I  checked on it and it had a really neat cut to it- not from me so I have a little fudge friend- who is quite neat while cutting their piece. I wonder who it could be?
I'll start showing some of my student's self portraits. They are really wonderful. This one is one of my favorites. Hope you all have a splendid week. I'll be working and cooking.

Clock Full

Hello Friends and Readers,
Hope you have had a good week.
For some reason I have been craving a margarita all week, but there's no one I  know around here to join me. It's driving me crazy how much I am thinking about it. Please come on down to Charleston and have one with me. Soon. I'll treat.
Managed to do two pages in my art  journal today. This one is about a spark that is flying around in my brain,  almost like a gnat. Can't get it out. Trying to build upon the thoughts, but I probably should just swat it out. At least it does make me smile.
I'm thinking maybe I need a better scanner or scanning system.
Chloe went to a costume party yesterday. Her friends insisted she would not be allowed in without a costume and what do you know.. they were not in costume. Here are the top three ideas we came up with. Please don't find them offensive. It was all in fun. Hannah Montana was her favorite.  Mine was Sarah Palin and she ended up being a stay at home mom.
Have a great week. I know I'll be on the run.

Hours Full

Here are some of the cool books I bought long ago in NYC at Kino-buy-it-all. One has really neat Japanese fashions with patterns. All I need is to learn Japanese. Hey Kelly, maybe we should both learn Japanese and only email each other in Japanese? Some of the store shots show these beautiful interiors of the shops all with neutral colors. I find it interesting that I am so attracted to them since I am such a color gal, but when I look at them I think, ooh I want my whole living space to be neutrals or my entire wardrobe.  Hmm could I  really do away with pink?

I think the digital photography teacher needs a lesson in taking clearer pictures. This one I decided not to scan and it looks like blurry city. Sorry. I guess I  should have taken a redo shot, but oh well. It's not that I don't care about you... I'm just happy I did a page. It's been hard to get any art done and now I have gotten the bad news that I will have to work on Friday. It was working out so well with a day for art, errands, Internet high school catch-up but that's all gone to the birds. so sad... I'm putting the extra cash in retirement or a fun travel fund. Something so I don't droop.
Okay I better go. We are having our weekly cell phone debate. Guess who wants a new phone?
Have a spiffy week.
